Wedding Wednesday { Registry Adventures}

Wednesday, July 15, 2015

 It is Wednesday friends and I am here to share with you how our recent registry experience went! Our plan was to get up super early, eat a yummy breakfast, and be at Macy’s when the mall opened. Did that happen? No not quite, Saturday morning sleep got the best of us! So from there, I was a little thrown off. If you know me, when I have a plan, I have to stick to it or I can tend to get a little crazy.
We arrived at Macy’s a little after 1 0’clock and met with the registry consultant. She was very nice and super helpful! From there we started the registering adventure! Let me just say, I don’t know if it was because we got a late start, or I wasn’t prepared enough, but it was definitely more difficult than expected!
It was hard to know where to start and what we truly wanted.
We did our best and decided we would fiddle with it later and straighten out the details online!
Next we moved on to Target, AKA, my own heaven on earth. This is where we really got into it. For some reason it seemed like there were more options and I had a more clear understanding of what we needed! We put the majority of our wish list on the Target registry.
With all that being said, I have reviewed and thought about what items are “must-haves” and what items I would want the most! They are the following:
Registry Must Haves

<SIDE NOTE>
-      I used the registry checklist from Macy’s to organize my thoughts and to keep track of what I registered for. You can find that here and print it off!
-      I also am a HUGE fan of theknot.com. It allows you to keep track of your registries and even create a “wedding website” that links in the registries. You can find that here.
What are some of your “must have” registry items? Is there anything you would recommend?
Thanks for reading! Make sure to stop by next Wednesday!

Wedding Wednesday {Wedding Theme}

Wedding Theme
Happy Wednesday friends! Today I am going to be sharing a little bit about our wedding theme, and how I have used Pinterest to generate my ideas! Since our wedding is in December, and I’m sort of OBSESSED with Christmas, naturally our theme should follow suit.
OUR COLORS: Ivory, Cranberry, and Champagne.
I would say that you could label our theme “winter rustic.” We want to incorporate tree slabs, pine cones, and holly-berry, but yet keep it classy with chalkboard calligraphy signs and satin champagne touches. Here are some pictures on how we want to do our décor!
 The most exciting part of the wedding details to me is the food/drink assortment! Since it will be cold outside, we are going to have a hot cocoa and coffee bar! I want to completely deck it out with all the fix in’s. I want peppermint crumbles, marsh-mellows, whip cream, caramel drizzle, and more!
  We want our cake to reflect out winter rustic theme as well! I took this picture from Pinterest to our cake artist and she is going to do it very similar! We will be having a red velvet cake, vanilla butter-cream frosting, and a cream-cheese filling. <PS> My mouth is watering now!
  I must say Pinterest has become my BEST friend when planning this wedding! I hope we can pull all of our ideas off and have a beautiful wedding!
Thanks for reading! See ya next Wednesday!

Top 5 Must have Drugstore Products

Monday, July 6, 2015

Hey guys!
Today I thought I would come to you with a “Top 5 Must Have Drug Store Product” list! I am always looking for a new drugstore product that is good quality, so I thought I would give you guys my opinion on my favorites. With that said, lets get started!
Top 5 Must have Drugstore products

 I cannot say enough about this product-it is amazing! I honestly wear it everyday and I have purchased this product multiple times. The best part about this eye shadow is the price- it is only $2.99! Also, if you get it at a drugstore it is almost always buy one get one 50% off!

2. Real Techniques Expert FaceBrush. This makeup brush has changes my life! No seriously, it makes all the difference in my foundation routine. It is very affordable and leaves a flawless finish. You can pick up this brush at Ulta for only $8.99!

3. Maybelline Great Lash ClearMascara. So I always hear people rave about the Great Lash mascara, but what they don’t tell you, is how awesome the clear lash mascara is! I don’t use this product the traditional way; I use it as eyebrow gel. After I use my eyebrow pencil and shape my brows, I put a coat of this on them to keep them in place all day long! This is a great product coming in at only $5.99!

4. NYX Cosmetics Hi Definition PhotoConcealer Wand. This is another great product! I use this as an under-eye concealer and it works great! It has a creamy consistency and goes on as a medium to heavy coverage. This is an Ulta Fan Favorite and you can purchase it for $4.99.

5. Lastly is the Revlon Color BurstLip Butter. This is my favorite go-to lip product! I have several favorite colors, 1) Crème Brule, 2) Strawberry Shortcake, and 3) Cotton Candy. You can pick this product up for $8.49!

I hope you guys find this useful and go try out some of these products!

Hi friends!
For the July 4th holiday, I have teamed up with Laura, from My LTL Blog, to give you our take on a fashionable 4th of July outfit! I must say I love dressing up for holidays, but don’t like to be too cheesy. So for this outfit I picked one color and accented the rest!

Unfortunately it is supposed to be yucky this weekend, and I don’t know that there will be much celebrating at my house. Hopefully it will clear up enough to go down to the boat docks and catch some fire works!

Wedding Wednesday {Intro}

Wednesday, July 1, 2015

I’m getting married ya’ll!
If you know me personally you probably already know this, but if you don’t, in December of this year I will be getting married to my soul mate! Yay! With that being said, I am going to start a mini blog series called “Wedding Wednesday’s.” Each Wednesday I will take you through parts of my wedding planning! To kick off the series, here is a glimpse of my relationship with my soon to be husband,
Tanner Queen.

Tanner & I met in the 9th grade where we attended a private Christian School together. Without being too harsh, it wasn’t quite love at first sight. We were however friends!

(Major Throwback-Sorry about picture quality!)

The sophomore year of high school we went are separate ways and we transferred to the public schools in our cities. I went to Blazer in Ashland, Kentucky, and he went to Lawrence County in Louisa, Kentucky. We live 30 minutes apart.
For some strange reason, my junior year of high school, I got a wild hair and decided to send him a text to see how he was doing. He likes to refer to this as “me pursuing him.”
From that point we continued to text, finally met up, and officially started dating.
 We have now been together for almost 6 years, whoa! We got engaged on Christmas Eve of  2012 and have finally set our date for:
DECEMBER 5th, 2015.

Stay tuned for more “Wedding Wednesday’s”!
